Immediate
During the information gathering phase,
GCC will be available to field questions regarding anesthesia staffing and benchmarking as well as perioperative strategies
(i.e., perioperative flow issues, block posting policies and procedures, and operating room assistant programs).
On-Site
Interviews will be held with hospital
administrators and leadership, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nurse anesthetists.
Areas of discussion will be center around the functionality and stability of the anesthesia services.
A group meeting will be held to discuss
the initial financial and benchmarking assessment. Utilizing a survey instrument,
GCC will also lead the group in a strategic discussion.
Anesthesia Insert Report
Within a week or two GCC will send an
insert report that will contain copies of the various assessment and benchmarking findings.
These findings will begin to frame the anesthesia stabilization strategies.
Financial Analysis Report
Four to eight weeks after the on-site
consultation and after the Insert Report as been validated, GCC will send a draft copy of the Financial Analysis Report to the
anesthesia group for final validation. With the group’s acceptance of the
report, two formal copies with be mailed to them. In order for the hospital to
perform its due diligence, the hospital may request relevant portions of the report.
Closing
the Loop
After both parties have reviewed the
report, GCC will be available to discuss the report via conference call. If the
parties prefer an on-site review, the per diem contract fees will apply.
